UBIC Parade

It's no surprise that I've had quite the adjustment period and been missing my family and friends in California. But I'm trying to go outside of my zone and try new things. I've joined a Zilch/Dice game club, Scrapbooking club, water aerobics class and my favorite new activity is going to all of the parades! Well, today my friends was another Parade day :) I feel slightly bad that I get to have all this small town fun and Justin misses most of it because of his job working in the oil fields, but I think he's happy the kids and I are getting out and meeting new people instead of just sitting at home.  Some of you know that I used to live in Omaha, Nebraska when I was little. My dad's job at Lockheed Martin moved us to Omaha when I was 7 and my sister and I made the best childhood memories there. I feel like being here in Roosevelt is giving our kids the same small town experiences and I'm trying to make sure they build some great childhood memories too :)

Starting the parade off with some AWESOME Veterans!

Remember that picture of me I put up on FB last week with blondie upfront? Our newly crowned Miss UBIC :)

Hoping Justin will let me get Emma involved with Little Miss UBIC next year HA!

Cool Firetruck

Newfield, our lifesaver job! Proud to say my husband works in the oilfields!

Lots of Semi's going through State Street

Dancers on their rainbow float

Lots of REAL farmland and agriculture going on out here

I'm NOT a fan of this funeral home down the street from our rental, but the horses and carriage were kinda cool :)

How many kids can say they MET Smokey the Bear????

Miss Duchesne Float

Our kids gathering candy thrown in the street for them

Can't have a parade without Rodeo Queens!

Two of Emma's good friends, Hailey on the Left and Brooklyn on the Right. They performed in the Parade :)

Kids riding on the oil tankers, LOL
