pose under heaven". When Justin and I first started on this journey, we had no idea all that would be involved. We weren't sure if Utah was where God planned for us to go being that we had already been down this road of moving to Utah five years earlier. But we knew that through LOTS of prayer and all that we had been through in 2011, anything was possible. If this move was to happen, we'd have to take many steps that would be humanly impossible for us to do all on our own and in such a short time-frame, but God's plans are limitless and so began our journey to Roosevelt, Utah. To the right you can see a lovely map I've included for reference :).
One day while researching Utah, I discovered the state motto "Life Elevated". This move is our family following God's call in our lives to a place that is new and, being high-desert, a life elevated. Part of the moving process has been exciting and part has been painful. It was hard to put in my notice to leave a job that God called me to, but I'm so thankful for the ministry experience at CityTeam these last five years. Through CityTeam, my faith and trust in God has also elevated and I cherish each day that I've been blessed to work with the homeless and addicted. There are some truly appointed individuals at CityTeam and I am honored to have served alongside them, just another example that God's planning and timing was perfect.
As most of you know, It's been difficult to leave California, our family and friends [well maybe more emotional for me than Justin :) ]. But we know God has had his hand guiding our path as we step out in faith. Thank you to all who have been praying for us as we prepare for this new adventure. Luke 9:23 says "Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me'." Please continue to pray for us as we attempt Luke 9:23. We aren't sure how God will use us, but we're excited for the call!
